One of the greatest joys of being part of Turning Point is witnessing the transformation that happens when someone walks through our doors unsure, overwhelmed and, over time, becomes confident, hopeful, and empowered.

I’ll never forget the day I first heard Lili's story. She was just 16 years old, a new mom carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders. There was a quiet strength about her, but also a very real fear of judgment, of not belonging, of not knowing what came next. What stood out most, even then, was her deep love for her daughter and her willingness to do whatever it took to give her a better future.

From the moment she joined the GRADS high school program & started as a client with Turning Point, she began to blossom.  She showed up with courage, asked questions, stayed curious, and leaned into the support we offered. It planted a seed of purpose: she wanted to be the one helping other parents feel that same joy and reassurance. 

Over the years, I had the privilege of watching Lili take some incredible steps, returning to school, committing to her goals, building a better life for her daughter. Even after graduating, she remained connected to the program, bringing her little one with her, pouring into the same space that once poured into her.

Today, it fills me with so much pride to see Lili now serving as our Education Coordinator at Turning Point. She’s raising two beautiful children by herself, pursuing her degree, and walking alongside other young parents with the same grace, wisdom, and heart that once carried her through her own challenges.

Lily's story is a testament to what happens when faith, resilience, and the right support come together. She’s not just part of our story - she is our story.

Turning Point exists to create generational change, and in Lili, I see that change happening every single day.
